Frozen River TrekkingZanskar is one of the oldest inhabited regions of the world with wild and solitary valleys at over 13,000 ft (4000 meters) in the Himalayas. In winter, Zanskar is isolated, and only in January and February is there a way to the rest of the world: the canyon of the Zanskar River. We trek on the so called Chadar or ice covering the river from the village of Chiling to Karsha and Padum in Zanskar, and then return to Chiling.Best Time : February Frozen River Trekking Routes Delhi - Leh - Chilling - Karsha - Padum - Chilling - Leh - Delhi Duration : 23 Nights / 24 Days Day 01 : Arrive Delhi, where you will meet our representative who will transfer you to your hotel. Day 02 : Fly to Leh - Transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at your leisure. Altitude of Leh is 3500 meters (11,550 ft) Day 03 : At your Leisure Day 04 : Drive to village of Chilling. Day 05 - 20 : On trek, Chilling-Karsha-Padum-Chilling. Day 21 : Relax in Leh Day 22 : Fly to Delhi- Transfer to hotel. Day 23 : Relax in Delhi- Evening transfer to international airport. Day 24 : Flight to another journey / home
