Lamayuru Martselang TrekkingThis outstanding trek begins with a drive down the Indus River from Leh to visit the ancient and spectacularly sited Lamayuru monastery. We then trek through villages and nomadic settlements in the beautiful and little known Ripcher Valley. The trail crosses several passes with excellent views of the Karakorum and Zanskar Mountains before descending to and crossing the Zanskar River. From here we enter the transcendent wonderland of the Markha and Nimaling Valleys before arriving back on the Indus at Martselang. The highest trek elevation is the 16,900 foot Kongmaru La above Nimaling meadows.Lamayuru Martselang Trekking Routes Delhi - Leh - Lamayuru - Leh - Delhi Duration : 18 Nights /19 Days Day 01 : Arrive Delhi in early morning and transfer to hotel Day 02 : Fly to Leh, transfer to hotel Day 03 : Rest, acclimatization walk in Leh Day 04 : Sightseeing, visit Leh Palace and main monastery Day 05 : Visit Lamayuru Monastery and begin the trek Day 06 to 15 : On trek ending in Martselang; return to Leh Day 16 : Relax in Leh Day 17 : Fly to Delhi, overnight at hotel Day 18 : Relax in Delhi Day 19 : International airport departure
